The Swedish Byggmax group increased its sales in the year 2019 by 3.3 per cent to SEK 5.2774 bn despite a poor fourth quarter. Of this, SEK 4.7633 bn was attributed to the primary sales channel Byggmax which thus increased its sales by 3.6 per cent, and SEK 514.1 mio to the sales channel Skånska Byggvaror which grew by 0.8 per cent. The Byggmax chain lost 2.7 per cent in sales on a like-for-like basis.

According to the company, the fourth quarter was primarily negatively affected by the weather. Overall sales sank by 4.9 per cent. The minus for the Byggmax stores amounted to 5.6 per cent, -10.3 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
